True to its commitment to provide quality training and services, SKILLS has conducted in-house Training Methodology and Assessors Methodology programs to its in-house trainers and assessors. It has successfully produced more than 20 competent trainers and assessors since 2008 from different trades.
In April 2011, SKILLS received consultancy grants from the services of PUM Senior Experts in The Netherlands. One of its senior experts Mr. Gizs Zevenhoven, an expert in Construction Methodology assessed SKILLS structures, systems and methods and provided the trainer’s group with competency enhancement training. Two of SKILLS trainers, Engr. Steve Banzon and Ms. Ludy Marie Lawas, were granted exchange student scholarship to visit and study the Educational System in The Netherlands last September 2011.
2013, SKILLS has been certified as one of the 3 selected providers for the Trainer’s Methodology I Certification Program. Of the three training providers SKILLS is the only private TVET to cater training the trainers development program for construction trades. The TM I program aims to provide trainers with both training and assessment competencies to be able to teach, train and conduct competency assessment under TESDA regulated programs and policies.
